A Milestone Achieved
DISCOVERY OF A NEW MOLECULE WITH ANTI-DIABETIC POTENTIAL FROM SIDDHARTHA INSTITUTE OF PHARMACY, DEHRADUN.

Human race is under a severe threat from various fatal diseases. These diseases have taken the epidemic form in the current atmosphere and taking the whole world into their lap. Cancer, Diabetes, AIDS, Tuberculosis etc., to name a few. It may take years to develop/discover/invent a new drug/medicine for treatment of these diseases. Our Research Team has discovered a new compound(drug molecule/medicine) called ursolic acid stearoyl glucoside: A new triterpenic gycosidic ester from Lantana camara plant with anti-diabetic potential. This research work is accepted by one of the famous and reputed International journal called Fitoterapia, Elsevier, USA. It’s a milestone achieved in the field Pharmaceutical Sciences. The research will be published in the forth coming issue of this journal. it’s a milestone achieved in the field of Pharmaceutical Sciences. The Research Team comprises of our eminent faculty. The above said molecule/drug/medicine is yet to be deciphered for its anticancer, antiobesity, and antibacterial etc. activities. The research on said diseases is in progress.
